Well, my fellow Citizen Cinephiles, when you’re ready to take a break from watching movies, and ready to start chatting about them, the Deep Dive Cinema clubhouse is the place to be. Here you can share your opinions, reviews, ratings, rants and other ramblings with your fellow movie lovers. Consider this a safe space to talk about whatever is on your mind regard film, productions, autuers, mise en scene and so on. Film is such an curious medium. It has both solitary and social qualities. By that, I mean you experience a film, it’s a multi-layered experience. You experience it internally as you watch it, relating the movie to your own understanding of things. But a film has a social aspect as well. It lives in the world, in the wild and is thus interpreted differently by different people. While this is true of any artistic medium, I think that film is special. It combines so much from other art forms: visual display, narrative story telling, graphic design, fashion, culture — it can synthesize all these mediums into a single rendering, making it unique in the art world.

So given that understanding, I felt like Deep Dive Cinema was feeding the solitary aspect of film, but missing the social aspect.

And so it was that the Clubhouse for Deep Dive Cinema was born.

I enourage you to join, to discuss, to review, rant and rate, because that’s what being a cinephile is all about.
